What Joining DrewMatic Actually Looks Like
We are a driving instructor franchise north east built by instructors who were burned by the big names and instructors who chose us after doing their research. No directors. No shareholders. No office overheads. We’re just a team that looks after and out for each other.
We won’t make an announcement when you join if you don’t want us to. No fanfare post or “welcome to the team” on social media. Nothing. You join, we just send you work, and you just get on with it.
What you keep: your pupils, your diary AND your earnings. We take a flat weekly fee of £50 or £52, dropping after twelve months. There are ZERO percentage cuts. If you earn £800 this week, it’s yours. If you earn £1,200, it’s yours.
There are no charges when you’re sick. No charges when you’re on holiday. You don’t start paying until we’ve put ten paying pupils in front of you.
Your pupils are yours. Your contact details are yours. We have never and will never try to claw back pupils when an instructor leaves. We don’t need to. Instructors who leave us do so on good terms and are welcome back.

The Honest Bit
We used to run on gentlemen’s agreements. We believed in trusting people. A small number of instructors took advantage of that trust, used OUR good name to build their business and then disappeared, and we won’t pretend otherwise because in our view, they’re lower than low.

It depends on the person and the situation. We’d rather have a good instructor without a branded car than lose them over it. All you need to do is talk to us about it and we can both decide if we can work together.
